St. Anthony, when you prayed your stolen book of prayers was given back to you. Pray now for all of us who have lost things precious and dear. Pray for all who have lost faith, hope or the friendship of god. Pray for us who have lost friends or relatives by death. Pray for all who have lost peace of mind or spirit. Pray that we may be given a new hope, new faith, new love. Pray that lost things, needful and helpful to us, may be returned to our keeping. Or if it must continue in our loss, pray that we may be given Christ's comfort and peace. Amen.

O glorious Saint Base, who by your martyrdom did leave to the Church a precious witness to the faith, obtain for us the grace to preserve within ourselves this divine gift, and to defend, without human respect, both by word and example, the truth of that same faith, which is so wickedly attacked and slandered in these our times. You who did miraculously restore a little child when it was at the point of death by reason of an affliction of the throat, grant us your mighty protection in like misfortunes; and, above all, obtain for us the grace of Christian mortification together with a faithful observance of the precepts of the Church, which may keep us from offending Almighty God. Amen.

Lord God, you helped St. Francis to reflect the image of Christ through a live of poverty and humility. May we follow your Son by walking in the footsteps of St. Francis and by imitating his joyful love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Great Saint Gerard, beloved child of Jesus Christ, perfect imitator of Jesus, and devoted child of the Mother of God, enkindle within my heart one spark of that heavenly fire of charity which glowed in yours. Because you bore without a murmur or complaint the calumnies of wicked men when falsely accused of crime, you have been raised up by God as the patron and protector of exepectant mothers. Preserve me in the dangers of motherhood and shield the child I now bear, that it may be brought safely to the light of day and recive the sacrament of baptism. Amen.

O glorious Apostle, St. John, who for your virginal purity was so beloved by Jesus as to merit to rest your head upon His divine bossom, and to be left, in his place, as a son to His loving Mother. I implore you to set me on fire with a burning love for Jesus and Mary. Obtain for me, I pray, this grace from our Lord, that even now, with my heart set free from earthly affections, I may be made worthy to be ever united to Jesus and his faithful disciple and to Mary as her devoted child both here on earth and then forever in heaven. Amen.

In need of spiritual help, I appeal with confidence to you, O St. John Bosco, for I require not only spiritual graces but temporal ones, and particulary (here mention the grace desired). May you, who on earth had such a great devotion to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and to Mary Help of Christians, and who always had compassion for those who were in suffering, obtain from Jesus and from His Heavenly Mother the grace I now request, and also a sincere resignation to the Will of God. Amen.

Blessed Joseph, husband of Mary, be with us this day. You protected and cherished the Virgin; loving the Child Jesus as your Son, you rescued Him from the danger of death. Defend the Church, the household of God, purchased by the blood of Christ. Guardian of the Holy Family, be with us in our trials. May your prayers obtain for us the strength to flee from error and wrestle with the powers of corruption so that in life we may grow in holiness and in death rejoice in the crown of victory. Amen.
